Supra + Biological Filter Media
This visibly porous inert biological media is especially suited for pond filtration. Fish Mate Supra+ has the largest biological surface area of popular filter media. Fish Mate Supra+ filter medium reduces lethal nitrite and ammonia more effectively than most other filter media due to its massive biological surface area.
The New and Improved - Supra + Biological Filter Media is the replacement biological media for all of the FishMate Bio Gravity and Pressurized Pond Filters.
Animate / FishMate has recently discontinued Item #231 ( AN-231 )- Supra Media and replaced it with this Item #349 ( AN-349 )- This media is New and Improved and offers superior biological activity.
Comes in a 500 gram box (about 1.1 Lbs) which covers about the same area of the 1.2lb bag of the previous media.

Usage recommendations:
- For ponds completely fill the biological media section of your filter with Fish Mate Supra+. For freshwater aquariums use 1 x 500 gram pack for every 200 litres(40 gallons) and for marine aquariums use 1 x 500 gram pack for every 100 litres (20 gallons).
- Rinse Fish Mate Supra+ in water before use
- Place in filter. We recommend a prefilter material such as foam or polymer wool.
- Replace 50% of used filter medium with new Fish Mate Supra+ every 12 months.
- For best results, use Fish Mate Supra+ with a Fish Mate filter system.
- Each 500 gram pack measures 7-3/4" H x 3-3/4" W x 2-5/8" D
